วันนี้ “ลงทุนมัม” อยากจะมาเล่าถึง โรงเรียนนานาชาติ อีกโรงเรียนหนึ่งที่มีโรงเรียนต้นแบบมาจากประเทศอังกฤษ นั่นก็คือ Wellington College International School Bangkok ที่ตั้งอยู่บนถนน กรุงเทพกรีฑา ค่ะ ซึ่งพึ่งเปิดสอนปีแรก เมื่อปีที่แล้ว (พ.ศ. 2561) นี้เองค่ะ
โรงเรียน Wellington College ประเทศอังกฤษ เป็นโรงเรียนเอกชนที่มีประวัติอันยาวนานกว่า 160 ปี โดยที่ประเทศอังกฤษนั้นจะเป็นโรงเรียนที่มีตั้งแต่ชั้น Year 9 เป็นต้นไปจนถึง Year 13 แต่ที่ประเทศไทยนั้น ในปัจจุบัน (พ.ศ. 2562) ทางโรงเรียนจะเปิดรับนักเรียนตั้งแต่ อายุ 2 ปี ไปจนถึง 13 ปี (Year 9) ค่ะ
พื้นที่ของโรงเรียนนานาชาติเวลลิงตั้นคอลเลจ กรุงเทพ นั้น มีอยู่ประมาณ 50 ไร่ ซึ่งถือว่าค่อนข้างใหญ่ทีเดียวนะคะ ทำให้ทางโรงเรียนมีสระว่ายน้ำถึง 3 สระ (สระขนาด 50m 1สระ) มีสนามฟุตบอล และ ลู่วิ่ง ดูแล้ว Facility ค่อนข้างเยอะทีเดียวค่ะ

“ลงทุนมัม” ลองจิ้มตัวเลขให้แม่ๆดูแล้ว ถ้าส่งลูกเรียน ตั้งแต่ชั้น Nursery ถึง Year 13 เราจะต้องเตรียมเงินไว้ประมาณ 15,007,598 บาท บาท หรือเทียบเท่าซื้อรถ Toyota Camry ได้ถึง 9.5 คันเลยค่ะ

ดูรายละเอียดของโรงเรียนแล้ว แม่ๆคิดอย่างไรกันบ้างคะ? โรงเรียนนี้ก็เป็นอีกโรงเรียนหนึ่งที่นำหลักสูตรมาจากประเทศอังกฤษ ซึ่งในกรุงเทพ ปัจจุบันก็มีอยู่หลายโรงเรียนเป็นลักษณะนี้ค่ะ แต่จุดสังเกตอย่างหนึ่งที่ “ลงทุนมัม” เห็นก็คือ โรงเรียนจากประเทศอังกฤษส่วนมากจะเปิดสอนแต่ระดับชั้นเด็กโต ไม่มีเด็กเล็กค่ะ แต่พอมาทำเป็น International School ในต่างประเทศแล้ว ก็จะขยายเปิดให้ครบตั้งแต่ Nursery ไปจนจบมัธยม ซึ่ง แม่ๆควรจะศึกษาถึงหลักสูตรของแต่ละโรงเรียนอย่างละเอียดก่อนที่จะเลือกโรงเรียนให้ลูกๆของเรานะคะ
