โรงเรียนมัธยมปัญญารัตน์ เป็นโรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษาที่จัดการเรียนการสอนด้วยหลักสูตร English Program ที่ “ลงทุนมัม” นำมาแนะนำคุณพ่อคุณแม่ในวันนี้ค่ะ สำหรับโรงเรียนแห่งนี้ มีความน่าสนใจอย่างไรบ้าง ติดตามอ่านได้จากบทความนี้เลยค่ะ
โรงเรียนมัธยมปัญญารัตน์ เป็นโรงเรียนที่ตั้งอยู่ในย่านสีลม 18 เปิดมาแล้วประมาณ 10 ปี เปิดสอนเฉพาะระดับมัธยมศึกษาตั้งแต่มัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 1 – 6 โดยจะสอนด้วยหลักสูตร English Program ซึ่งปัจจุบัน (ปี 2021) มีนักเรียนจบไปแล้ว 5 รุ่นค่ะ
โรงเรียนแห่งนี้เป็นโรงเรียนที่มีขนาดไม่ใหญ่มาก ปัจจุบันมีนักเรียนประมาณ 320 คน จำนวนห้องเรียนในระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้นในแต่ละระดับชั้นจะมี 3 ห้อง และในระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลายจะมี 3 แผนการเรียน คือ วิทย์-คณิต, ศิลป์-คำนวณ และ ศิลป์-ภาษา ค่ะ
Class Size ของ โรงเรียนมัธยมปัญญารัตน์ แต่ละห้องจะมีนักเรียนไม่เกินห้องละ 26 คน (ปัจจุบันเฉลี่ยอยู่ที่ประมาณ 20-22 คน) โดยใน 1 ห้องเรียน จะมีคุณครูประจำชั้น 1 คน ซึ่งมีความแตกต่างจากโรงเรียนอื่นๆ คือ คุณครูประขำชั้นจะไม่ใช่ครูผู้สอน แต่เป็นครูที่ทำหน้าที่คอยดูแล ติดตามและประสานงานต่างๆ คอยให้ความช่วยเหลือ ให้คำแนะนำ เป็นที่ปรึกษาทั้งด้านการเรียนและพฤติกรรมส่วนตัว และนั่งเรียนกับเด็กๆในห้องเรียนตลอดวัน
ส่วนคุณครูผู้สอนรายวิชา เป็นคุณครูชาวต่างชาติที่เป็น Native Speaker ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่มาจากประเทศอเมริกาและอังกฤษ จบการศึกษาในสาขาวิชาที่สอนหรือมีความเชี่ยวชาญในสาขาวิชาที่สอนและมีประสบการณ์ในการสอน ทำให้การจัดเรียนการสอนของโรงเรียนแห่งนี้กว่า 80 % สอนเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ จากคุณครูเจ้าของภาษาทั้งหมด
หลักสูตร English Program ของโรงเรียนนี้ จัดการเรียนการสอนตามหลักสูตรของกระทรวงศึกษาธิการเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ ยกเว้น วิชาที่เกี่ยวข้องกับบริบทไทย อาทิ วิชาภาษาไทย ประวัติศาสตร์ไทย พลศึกษา นาฏศิลป์ไทย นอกเหนือจากนี้จะเรียนเป็นภาษาอังกฤษทั้งหมดค่ะ
ในส่วนของการเรียนการสอนของโรงเรียนนี้ น่าสนใจมากค่ะ เพราะเน้นการเรียนแบบ Project Based Learning ผ่าน Online Learning Resources เป็นหลัก โดยTextbook กว่า 90% อยู่ในรูปแบบออนไลน์ โดยเรียนผ่าน Google Chromebook เป็นหลัก ซึ่งมีข้อดีของการเรียนแบบนี้ คือ เด็กๆ ไม่ต้องแบกหนังสือหนักๆไปโรงเรียน ส่วน Online Learning Resources ต่างๆ ก็จะเป็นข้อมูลที่อัพเดทอยู่ตลอดเวลาและยังมีทั้งแบบที่เป็น Interactive อีกด้วย
หนึ่งในกิจกรรม Extra Curricular ของ โรงเรียนมัธยมปัญญารัตน์ที่ “ลงทุนมัม” เห็นว่าน่าสนใจมากๆ เลย คือ กิจกรรมของเด็กๆในระดับมัธยศึกษาตอนปลาย ที่มีการทำโปรเจค Fund Raising เพื่อหาเงินแล้วนำรายได้ทั้งหมดไปช่วยเหลือสังคม ซึ่งในหนึ่งกิจกรรมที่เด็กๆได้ทำนี้เป็นการฝึกทักษะหลายๆอย่างให้กับเด็กๆ ได้ดีมาก เช่น ทักษะกระบวนการในการวางแผนงาน การทำงานร่วมกันเป็นทีม และทักษะ Entrepreneurship รวมไปถึงการคืนประโยชน์กลับสู่สังคมด้วย อีกหนึ่งกิจกรรมที่ทาง “ลงทุนมัม” ประทับใจคือ กิจกรรม Cross Curricular ซึ่งเป็นการจัดการเรียนการสอนในรูปแบบบูรณาการสหวิชา ได้แก่ วิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ คณิตศาสตร์ ภูมิศาสตร์ ภาษาอังกฤษ และ ศิลปะ เด็กๆได้เรียนรู้ทั้งเรื่องของ Pollution การวัดความเร็วของน้ำ เรียนรู้ธรรมชาติ และวัฏจักรของแม่น้ำและสิ่งมีชีวิตรอบๆ และ สอนให้เด็กรู้จักธรรมชาติ ดูแผนที่เป็น มีการเก็บข้อมูลมาทำสถิติ และได้ใช้ ทักษะวิชาศิลปะออกแบบ ในการ present ผลงาน
สำหรับ Facility ต่างๆของโรงเรียน เนื่องจากโรงเรียนแห่งนี้เป็นโรงเรียนในระดับมัธยมศึกษาที่เน้นกระบวนการเรียนรู้แบบวิทยาศาสตร์ ก็จะเน้น Lab Facility และห้องสำหรับสร้างสรรค์ผลงานของเด็กๆทั้ง Biology Lab, Chemistry Lab, Physics Lab , Fine Art Room และ Work Education Learning Space เป็นต้น เพราะทางโรงเรียนมุ่งเน้นที่จะพัฒนาเด็กในทักษะด้าน 21st Century Skills รวมถึงการส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนให้มีการแสดงผลงานสร้างสรรค์ต่างๆในรูปแบบที่นักเรียนมีความถนัด
