บทความนี้ “ลงทุนมัม” จะพา คุณพ่อ คุณแม่ ที่อยู่ในแถบ พัทยา และ ชลบุรี มาแนะนำให้รู้จักกับโรงเรียนนานาชาติแห่งใหม่ที่กำลังจะเปิดในเดือนสิงหาคม ปี 2022 นี้ นั่นก็คือ Lovell International School (เลิฟเวลล์ อินเตอร์เนชั่นแนล สคูล)โดย โรงเรียนนานาชาติเลิฟเวลล์ นี้ตั้งอยู่ที่ ถนนพัทยา-นาเกลือ อำเภอบางละมุง จังหวัด ชลบุรี
โรงเรียนนานาชาติแห่งนี้มี Motto ที่น่ารักมาก นั่นก็คือ “โรงเรียนที่สร้างด้วยความรัก เพื่อให้คนที่รัก รู้จักรักเป็น”
อ่านจาก Motto ของโรงเรียนแล้ว รู้สึกได้เลยว่าจะต้องเป็นโรงเรียนที่อบอุ่นและอบอวลไปด้วยความรักแน่นอน โดยเกิดขึ้นจากความตั้งใจของคุณโบ – พัทธมน เมฆะวรากุล ผู้บริหาร เคป ดารา รีสอร์ท พัทยา ซึ่งเป็นคุณแม่ที่ต้องการหาโรงเรียนให้กับลูกสาว แต่ตามหาโรงเรียนมาหลากหลายโรงเรียนทั่วพัทยา-ชลบุรี-กรุงเทพฯ แล้วก็ยังไม่เจอโรงเรียนที่ถูกใจ เลยตัดสินใจก่อตั้งโรงเรียนนานาชาติ Lovell ขึ้น เพื่อที่จะปลูกฝังให้เด็กๆ รู้จักการรักตนเอง เพราะ คุณโบ เชื่อว่า หากเด็กรู้จักรักตนเองแล้ว จะรู้จักส่งต่อความรักสู่บุคคลรอบข้าง ธรรมชาติ และสังคมได้ และการรักตนเองนำมาซึ่ง self-esteem ที่เป็นพื้นฐานสำคัญของความกล้าที่จะเรียนรู้ และเติบโตไปให้สุดในสายที่ตนสนใจได้ ซึ่งคุณโบมองว่า ทั้งเรื่อง healthy relationship กับตัวเองและผู้อื่น และเรื่องศักยภาพในการเรียนรู้นี้ เป็นพื้นฐานที่สำคัญสำหรับการสร้างบุคคลที่จะเป็นผู้นำที่ดีในอนาคต
โรงเรียนนานาชาติ Lovell นี้เปิดสอนตั้งแต่ระดับชั้น เตรียมอนุบาล (Pre Nursery) ไปจนถึงชั้นอนุบาล 3 (Year 1) หรือ ตั้งแต่อายุ 2 ปีไปจนถึง 6 ปี โดยในละห้องเรียนจะเป็นห้องเรียนขนาดเล็ก มีนักเรียนประมาณ 12-15 คนเท่านั้น
การเรียนการสอนของโรงเรียนนานาชาติ Lovell นั้น จะยึดผสมผสานระหว่าง หลักสูตรอังกฤษ, Montessori และ Reggio Emilia โดยในระดับชั้น Pre Nursery ถึง Reception นั้นจะใช้ หลักสูตร Early Year Foundation Stage (EYFS) จากประเทศอังกฤษ ที่มุ่งเน้นให้เด็กๆได้พัฒนาศักยภาพของตนเองให้สมบูรณ์และสมดุลทั้งในด้านร่างกาย, อารมณ์, สังคม และ ความสามารถทางด้านภาษาและการสื่อสาร โดยเน้นการเรียนรู้ผ่านการลงมือทำจริงๆ
ในการเรียนของชั้น Year 1 หรือ อนุบาล 3 นั้นจะเป็นการเรียนในระดับ Key Stage 1 ที่เป็นการเรียนที่เฉพาะเรื่องและ ลงลึกมากขึ้น โดยจะเป็นการเรียนในวิชาต่างๆ เช่น ภาษาอังกฤษ, คณิตศาสตร์, วิทยาศาสตร์, ประวัติศาสตร์, ภูมิศาสตร์, คอมพิวเตอร์, ภาษา, พละ, ศิลปะและการออกแบบ, ดนตรี, การออกแบบและเทคโนโลยี, การศึกษาทางศาสนา เป็นต้น
จุดเด่นอีกอย่างหนึ่งของ โรงเรียนนานาชาติ Lovell คือ เป็นโรงเรียนที่นำหลักการของ Play-based และการเสริมสร้าง EF มาใช้ในการออกแบบทั้ง exterior, interior, และ landscape ในทุกๆจุดการเรียนรู้และการเล่นของเด็กๆจะตอบโจทย์ EF โดยเฉลี่ย 6 ข้อ จาก 9 ข้อ และตลอดการเรียนรู้จนจบคอร์ส เด็กๆจะมีพัฒนาการทางด้านร่างกาย สติปัญญา และอารมณ์ ผ่าน EF รวมครบถ้วนทั้ง 9 ข้อ
ในห้องเรียนต่างๆ และ บรรยากาศในโรงเรียน ทั้งบ้านต้นไม้, ห้องเรียน, ห้องศิลปะ, ห้องยิม / dance studio, ห้องเรียนทำอาหาร และสวนเกษตร Lovell Garden ต่างผ่านกระบวนความคิดและการออกแบบ เพื่อที่จะเน้นให้เด็กได้เรียนรู้ผ่านการเล่นสนุก เข้าใจการอยู่ร่วมกับผู้อื่น และตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของธรรมชาติ รวมถึงความสำคัญของสิ่งมีชีวิตเล็กๆที่ช่วยให้ธรรมชาติและโลกเราดำรงอยู่
อีกทั้งบรรยากาศภายในโรงเรียนยังเน้นให้มีพืชพันธุ์หลากหลายที่เป็นพืชไม้ใบ ไม้ดอก ประเภทที่คัดแล้วว่าเหมาะกับการเรียนรู้ของเด็กๆ สามารถนำมาใช้ในวิชาเรียนทำอาหาร ศิลปะ และการทดลองได้ โรงเรียนนี้ถูกออกแบบและสร้างในธีมบ้านต้นไม้ เพื่อให้กลืนเข้ากับธรรมชาติในที่แห่งนี้ โดยไม่ตัดต้นไม้ใหญ่แม้สักต้นเดียว ให้เด็กๆได้อยู่ท่ามกลางธรรมชาติ เด็กๆจะได้ความรู้สึกเหมือนเรียนอยู่ในโรงเรียนกลางป่า ที่ร่มรื่น และยังช่วยส่งเสริมศักยภาพการเรียนรู้ และ การอยู่ร่วมกับธรรมชาติให้กับเด็กๆอีกด้วย
