โรงเรียน K12 International Academy เป็น Private School ที่สอนแบบ ออนไลน์ และ เปิดรับนักเรียนทั้งในสหรัฐอเมริกา และกว่า 76 ประเทศทั่วโลก โดยโรงเรียนเปิดสอนตั้งแต่ระดับ Kindergarten ไปจนถึงระดับ Grade 12 ค่ะ

การรับสมัครนักเรียนของโรงเรียน เนื่องจาก โรงเรียนมี 3 เทอม จึงมีการรับสมัครนักเรียนทั้งหมด 3 เทอม คือ Spring, Fall และ Summer (ดูตารางเวลาและ Deadline การรับนักเรียนได้จากที่นี่ค่ะ https://www.icademy.com/admissions/enrollment-calendar.html) โดย นักเรียนสามารถเลือกเรียนได้ทั้งแบบ เป็น Full-time Student และ แบบ Part-Time Student ทั้งนี้ทังนั้น หากนักเรียนเป็นนักเรียนแบบเต็มเวลา (Full-time) จะสามารถลงเรียนได้ไม่เกิน 6 วิชาต่อเทอม
สำหรับนักเรียนระดับมัธยมปลาย การที่จะเรียนจบและได้รับ U.S High School Diploma นั้น นักเรียนจะต้องเรียนให้ครบ 24 หน่วยกิตจึงจะจบได้ค่ะ โดย วิชาที่จะต้องเรียนเพื่อให้จบนั้นมีดังนี้
- English – 4 credits
- Math – 4 credits
- Science – 4 credits ( รวม 2 lab sciences)
- History – 4 credits ( บังคับเรียน US History 1 credit)
- World Language – 2 credits (ต้องเป็นภาษาเดียวกันทั้ง 2 credits)
- Health – 0.5 credit
- Physical Education – 0.5 credit
- Electives – 5 credits
การเรียนการสอนของ K12 นั้น นักเรียนสามารถ login เข้าสู่ระบบ และเข้าเรียนได้ตลอดเวลาตามที่นักเรียนสะดวก โดยในระบบของ K12 นั้น นักเรียนจะใช้เพื่อ การส่งการบ้าน, การเข้าเรียนวิชาที่เป็น Live Session, การร่วมสัมมนาสำหรับวิชาต่างๆ, การติดต่อคุณครูเพื่อขอความช่วยเหลือในวิชา รวมไปถึง การเข้าร่วมกลุ่ม Online Club และ Virtual Field Trip
สำหรับผู้ปกครอง ทางโรงเรียนก็จะมีระบบไว้ให้สำหรับผู้ปกครองติดตามการเรียนของลูกๆ รวมไปถึงดูพัฒนาการต่างๆทางด้านการศึกษาของลูกด้วย

เป็นอย่างไรกันบ้างคะ สำหรับ K12 International Academy? น่าสนใจไหมคะ? ถ้าดูจากราคาแล้ว ถือว่า ราคามิตรภาพ น่าคบหามากเลยค่ะ ส่วนหนึ่งเป็นเพราะ โรงเรียนแบบ Accredited Online School จะไม่มีคิด ค่าแรกเข้า, Deposit fund รวมไปถึง พวกค่าอาหารต่างๆ เหมือนอย่างโรงเรียนนานาชาติ ซึ่งค่าใช้จ่ายก้อนนี้นับๆดู ก็ไม่น้อยทีเดียวนะคะ
