โรงเรียน Cambridge Home School Online เป็น Online School ที่สอนด้วย ระบบอังกฤษ (British Curriculum) ที่เปิดสอนมาตั้งแต่ปี 2002 โดย โรงเรียนแห่งนี้ เปิดรับ นักเรียนตั้งแต่ อายุ 8 ปี (ระดับชั้น Key Stage 2) ไปจนถึง อายุ 19 ปี (ระดับ A Levels)

การเรียนการสอนของที่นี่ แน่นอนว่าจะต้องเป็นระบบออนไลน์ทั้งหมด โดย ทางโรงเรียนจะจัดตารางเรียนให้ นักเรียนเรียนแบบ Live Session ในทุกๆวัน โดยจะเรียนเป็นกลุ่มเล็กๆ กลุ่มละ 5-8 คน โดยครูผู้สอน ก็จะเป็น ครูผู้เชี่ยวชาญในแต่ละรายวิชาที่เรียน โดย ครูผู้สอนจะมีวุฒิการศึกษาตั้งแต่ระดับ ปริญญาโท ขึ้นไป รวมไปถึง ทางโรงเรียนจะมีครูผู้สอนที่เป็น Lecturer ของ มหาวิทยาลัยเคมบริดจ์ จบการศึกษาระดับปริญญาเอก 5 คน, National Examiner 3 คน และ Oxbridge (Oxford + Cambridge) 4 คน
ระดับชั้น Key Stage 2 (Year 4 – Year 6) จะเป็นระดับชั้นแรกที่ โรงเรียนเปิดสอน โดยจะเน้นการสอนให้นักเรียนเป็นผู้ที่มี ความคิดสร้างสรรค์ รู้จักการคิดวิเคราะห์ และ ทักษะต่างๆ ผ่าน การเรียนใน 5 วิชา คือ คณิตศาสตร์, วิทยาศาสตร์, ภาษาอังกฤษ, Topic และ ศิลปะวัฒนธรรม
ในระดับชั้น Key Stage 3 ทางโรงเรียนจะเน้นให้นักเรียนได้เรียนพื้นฐานวิชาต่างๆ เพื่อค้นหาว่าตัวเองชอบและสนใจเรียนในวิชาใด เพื่อเตรียมตัวเลือกเรียนในระดับต่อไป โดยวิชาที่นักเรียนจะได้เลือกเรียนนั้น ก็จะมีทั้ง Art&Design, ชีววิทยา, ฟิสิกซ์, เคมี, คณิตศาสตร์, ประวัติศาสตร์, ภูมิศาสตร์, ภาษาอังกฤษ, วรรณคดีอังกฤษ, ภาษาฝรั่งเศส, ภาษาละติน และ ภาษาสเปน
เมื่อถึง Key Stage 4 จะเป็นระดับชั้นที่เน้นให้นักเรียนเตรียมเพื่อสอบ IGCSE เป็นสำคัญ และ นักเรียนจะต้องมุ่งเน้นให้ได้ เกรดของ IGCSE ที่ดี (เกรด B ขึ้นไป) เพื่อที่จะสามารถเลือกวิชานั้นๆในการเรียน A Levels ต่อไปได้ ทั้งนี้ในการเลือกวิชาสำหรับ A Level วิชาที่เลือกควรจะเป็นวิชาที่จะใช้ยื่นในการเรียนต่อในระดับมหาวิทยาลัยต่อไป
สำหรับค่าใช้จ่ายของโรงเรียน Cambridge Home School Online รายละเอียดค่าเทอม สำหรับปี 2019 (Year 4 – 13) สามารถดูได้จากเวปไซต์โรงเรียน <https://www.chsonline.org.uk/admissions/fees> ค่ะ ลงทุนมัม” คำนวณอัตราแลกเปลี่ยนที่ 1 GBP = 40 THB และประมาณไว้ว่าค่าเทอม จะมีการเพิ่มขึ้น 3% ทุกปี (ซึ่งปกติ ค่าเล่าเรียนของโรงเรียนนานาชาติ จะมีการปรับขึ้นทุกปีอยู่แล้ว เป็น % บางโรงเรียน อาจจะ 3% บางโรงเรียนอาจจะ 5% แล้วแต่โรงเรียนเลยค่ะ)
“ลงทุนมัม” ลองจิ้มตัวเลขให้แม่ๆดูแล้ว ถ้าส่งลูกเรียน ตั้งแต่ชั้น Year 4 ถึง Year 13 เราจะต้องเตรียมเงินไว้ประมาณ 3,615,000 บาท หรือเทียบเท่าซื้อรถ Toyota Camry ได้ 2.3 คันค่ะ

“ลงทุนมัม” เชื่อว่า สำหรับ คุณพ่อ คุณแม่ ที่ ปัจจุบัน ลูกๆเรียน โรงเรียนนานาชาติหลักสูตรอังกฤษ อยู่แล้ว แต่อาจจะไม่ชอบโรงเรียนที่เรียนอยู่ หรือ หลังจากลูกเรียนออนไลน์แล้ว รู้สึกว่า การเรียนออนไลน์เหมาะกับลูกมากกว่า โรงเรียน Cambridge Home School Online อาจจะเป็นอีกตัวเลือกหนึ่งที่น่าสนใจ เพราะเหมือนเราได้ส่งลูกไปเรียนที่อังกฤษ กับ คุณครูระดับที่สอนที่ มหาวิทยาลัยเคมบริดจ์ แต่ไม่ต้องบินไปไกลๆ อย่างไรก็ดี การเรียนแบบ Online นี้ ต้องยอมรับเลยว่า คุณพ่อ คุณแม่ ต้องให้เวลา และ จะเป็นผู้ที่มีส่วนอย่างมาก ที่จะช่วยผลักดันให้ลูกสำเร็จได้ ก็ต้องดูความเหมาะสมของแต่ละครอบครัวด้วยค่ะ
ในเวลานี้ต้องบอกว่า โรงเรียนดีๆให้เลือกมากมายทั่วโลก โดยไม่จำกัดว่าจะต้องเรียนแต่ในประเทศไทยเท่านั้นแล้ว ตอนนี้ขอแค่มี คอมพิวเตอร์ และ อินเตอร์เนตดีๆ จะเรียนที่ไหนก็ได้แล้วค่ะ 🙂
