หลังจากที่โรงเรียนปิดไปเกือบเดือน เด็กๆ โรงเรียนนานาชาติ ต่างต้องปรับตัวมาเรียนกันแบบออนไลน์เพราะโรงเรียนปิด ไม่สามารถไปเรียนที่ห้องได้เหมือนเดิม จากการแพร่ระบาดของไวรัส โควิด-19 (COVID-19) ตอนนี้ผู้ปกครองของเด็กอินเตอร์หลายๆคน คงเริ่มชินกับการจัดการเรียนการสอนแบบ Online Learning ให้ลูกๆกันบ้างแล้ว พอเริ่มเรียนกันไปนานๆเข้า คงมีหลายๆคนสงสัยเหมือนกับ “ลงทุนมัม” ว่า แล้ว มีโรงเรียนที่เป็น Accredited Online School เต็มรูปแบบเลยมีบ้างไหมนะ? แล้วเค้าเรียนกันอย่างไร “ลงทุนมัม” หาคำตอบมาให้แล้วค่ะ

ก่อนอื่น “ลงทุนมัม” อยากจะเล่าให้ฟังถึงการเรียนการสอนแบบ “Home School” หรือ “บ้านเรียน” ที่หลายๆคนอาจจะเคยได้ยินมาบ้างแล้ว การเรียนแบบ “Home School” นี้เริ่มเป็นที่นิยมมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆในต่างประเทศ โดยเฉพาะในอเมริกา เพราะการเรียนการสอนแบบนี้ค่อนข้างยืดหยุ่น ทั้งกับ ผู้ปกครอง และ ตัวเด็กเอง เด็กไม่ต้องเดินทางไปเรียนที่โรงเรียน อีกทั้งผู้ปกครองยังสามารถวางแผนการเรียนการสอนโดยยึดตัวเด็กเป็นหลักอย่างแท้จริง เลือกเรียนตามที่เด็กสนใจจริงๆ ในประเทศไทยนั้นการเรียนการสอนแบบ “บ้านเรียน” ก็เริ่มแพร่หลายและ เป็นที่นิยมมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ เช่นกัน 

การเรียนแบบ “บ้านเรียน” ในประเทศไทยนั้น ประเทศไทยรับรองการจัดการศึกษาในรูปแบบนี้ตามบทบัญญัติแห่งพระราชบัญญัติการศึกษาแห่งชาติ พ.ศ. 2542 ซึ่ง หาก ผู้ปกครองอยากจัดการเรียนการสอนให้ลูกเองแบบนี้สามารถไปจดทะเบียนเพื่อจัดการศึกษาบ้านได้ที่เขตที่ตนเองอยู่ค่ะ ซึ่งเมื่อจบการศึกษาในระดับนั้นๆแล้ว ก็จะได้รับวุฒิการศึกษาเหมือนกับการศึกษาภาคปกติของไทยค่ะ

“Home School” นั้นสามารถทำได้หลากหลายรูปแบบ ขึ้นอยู่กับว่า วัตถุประสงค์การทำ “Home School” ของแต่ละครอบครัวนั้น ทำไปเพื่อต้องการให้ลูกของเราได้เรียนรู้อะไร บางครอบครัวอาจต้องการให้เด็กๆได้เรียน “Home School” เพราะต้องการให้ลูกได้เรียนรู้สิ่งต่างๆจากประสบการณ์ชีวิตที่พบเจอนอกห้องเรียน บางครอบครัว อาจต้องการให้ลูกเรียน “Home School” เพราะมีข้อติดขัดบางอย่างในการส่งลูกไปโรงเรียนจริงๆ อันนี้ขึ้นอยู่กับแต่ละครอบครัวเลยค่ะ ซึ่งพ่อแม่ สามารถเลือกที่จะจัดหลักสูตรการเรียนการสอนของตนเอง หรือจะยึดตามหลักสูตรที่มีอยู่แล้วและตรงกับที่ต้องการก็ได้เช่นกัน 

การเรียนด้วย Online School นี้ถือเป็น หนึ่งรูปแบบของการทำ “Home School” เพราะเป็นการเรียนการสอนที่เด็กไม่ต้องเดินทางไปโรงเรียนจริงๆ แต่จะเป็นการเรียนที่ย้ายโรงเรียนจริงๆ มาอยู่ในรูปแบบออนไลน์ (Virtual School) แทน การเรียนการสอนนั้นก็เป็นวิชาๆ เหมือนกับในโรงเรียนจริงๆ ซึ่งในต่างประเทศ เริ่มมีการเปิด Online School หลายๆแห่ง และยังสามารถรองรับนักเรียนจากทั่วโลกให้สมัครเรียนได้ด้วย

ใครเหมาะกับการเรียนแบบ Online School? 

ถ้าถาม “ลงทุนมัม” ว่าใครเหมาะกับการเรียนแบบOnline School? “ลงทุนมัม” ว่า การเรียนแบบ Online School เหมาะกับคนที่ต้องการความยืดหยุ่นในการเรียน ไม่ชอบสิ่งแวดล้อมหรือบรรยากาศการเรียนแบบดั้งเดิม หรือแม้แต่ เด็กที่ไม่สามารถเข้าถึงการเรียนคุณภาพได้ในบริเวณที่ตัวเองอยู่ อย่างเช่น ครอบครัวต้องเดินทางบ่อยๆ หรือ แม้แต่เด็กที่เป็นนักกีฬา ต้องเดินทางไปแข่งขันตามที่ต่างๆบ่อยๆ อันนี้ขึ้นกับลักษณะของเด็กและครอบครัวเลยค่ะ

Online School มีสอนตั้งแต่ระดับชั้นใด?

ตอนนี้โรงเรียนแบบ Online School หลายๆแห่งสามารถเรียนได้ตั้งแต่ระดับอนุบาล หรือ Kindergarten ไปจนถึง High School ได้เลยค่ะ โดยการเลือก Online School ต้องดูโรงเรียนที่ได้รับการรับรอง (Accredited) จากหน่วยงานต่างๆ เช่น WASC, AdvancED, MSA-CESS, SACS CASI ด้วยนะคะ ซึ่งจะมีผลต่อการยื่นเรียนต่อในระดับมหาวิทยาลัยต่อไป

ถ้าเรียนจบ Online School แล้วไปต่อมหาวิทยาลัยได้หรือไม่?

การเรียนแบบOnline School หากเป็นโรงเรียนที่ได้รับการรับรอง (Accredited) สามารถยื่น Transcript สำหรับเรียนต่อได้เหมือนกับการไปโรงเรียนปกติค่ะ แต่จริงๆในปัจจุบัน หลายๆมหาวิทยาลัยชื่อดัง ก็รองรับ Application จากนักเรียนแบบ Homeschooling นะคะ   

Online School นี้ดีอย่างไร?

Online School นี้เนื่องจากเป็นการเรียนแบบออนไลน์ ก็จะค่อนข้างมีความยืนหยุ่นในเรื่องของเวลาที่เรียน รวมถึงการเรียนแบบนี้ ความเร็ว หรือ ความก้าวหน้าในแต่ละวิชา ก็มักจะขึ้นอยู่กับความสามารถของตัวเด็กเอง อย่างเด็กที่เก่งมากๆ บางวิชาที่ปกติใช้เวลาเรียน 1 ปี อาจจะย่อลงมาเหลือเพียง 3 เดือนได้ ค่ะ การเรียนแบบนี้ เนื่องจากต้องใช้ความใกล้ชิดของ ผู้ปกครองและเด็กมาก จะมีข้อดีอย่างมากเลยคือ ผู้ปกครองจะเห็นความสามารถและทักษะของเด็กได้อย่างชัดเจนมากๆเลยหละค่ะ

โรงเรียนแบบ Online School มีค่าใช้จ่ายเท่าไหร่?

อันนี้ขึ้นอยู่กับแต่ละโรงเรียนที่เลือกและ ระดับชั้นที่เรียนนะคะ ซึ่งเท่าที่ “ลงทุนมัม” ดู “ค่าเทอมต่อปี” ก็จะมีตั้งแต่ประมาณ 2,500 USD ไปจนถึง 25,,000 USD (ประมาณ 70,000 กว่าบาท ไปจนถึง 800,000 กว่าบาท)

ตัวอย่างของ Online School ที่ “ลงทุนมัม” นำมาแนะนำ จะเป็น Online School ที่สอนด้วยภาษาอังกฤษทั้งหมด มีเปิดสอนตั้งแต่ระดับ Primary School ไป จนถึง High School โดยโรงเรียนเหล่านี้ได้รับการรับรอง (Accredited) จากสถาบันในอเมริกา นะคะ น่าจะเหมาะกับครอบครัวที่วางแผนให้ลูกเรียนด้วยภาษาอังกฤษ หรือต้องการให้ลูกๆไปเรียนต่อในมหาวิทยาลัยในต่างประเทศค่ะ
